From R&D and engineering to full operation and maintenance IDE manages its complex global operations using Priority ERP, a system they have relied on for over 15 years.

The Challenge: Expanding into the UK with Full Local Compliance

As IDE began work on the UK Desalination Plant—their first project in the UK—they needed to ensure their ERP operations could meet local regulatory

requirements.

While they were well-versed with Priority ERP, they

lacked experience with UK-specific financial, legal, and

compliance frameworks. IDE sought a UK-based partner

with deep Priority ERP knowledge and localisation

expertise to bridge this gap. Medatech UK was the

ideal choice due to its strong track record of successful

Priority implementations and its in-depth understanding of UK business regulations.

Implementation Goals: Rapid Localisation & Compliance

IDE’s primary objective was to ensure full compliance with UK legislation, especially across key ERP areas such as contract management, purchasing, financials, and tax regulations.

Medatech UK worked closely with IDE to:

  • Identify gaps

  • Map requirements

  • Collaborate with IDE’s UK-based CPA

  • Deliver a fully localised ERP implementation within a tight 3-month timeframe

The Implementation Plan: Structured and Collaborative

Medatech began by assembling a joint project team with IDE’s internal stakeholders. A thorough requirements analysis was conducted to ensure all business processes were correctly captured. Once requirements were mapped, Medatech led a timely project kick-off and maintained consistent communication throughout the process.

Ovad Kaduri, IDE’s CIO said “By managing the project proactively and allowing the IDE team to focus on their core business at Sizewell, Medatech ensured that the ERP localisation did not disrupt day-to-day operations”

The Solution & Timelines: Delivered on Time and on Budget

The project involved:

  • Installation of the UK localisation pack

  • Data migration from IDE’s global system

  • Rigorous testing and validation of local compliance features

Both Medatech and IDE’s teams worked in sync to meet every milestone, successfully completing the implementation on time and within budget, despite the aggressive schedule.
